About

TEES VALLEY COMBINED AUTHORITY awarded a contract to Openreach Limited for the relocation of existing Openreach apparatus affected by planned site redevelopment, including the laying of duct on the West Side of South Gare Road.

Due to ground conditions in the specified area, additional costs were incurred by Openreach's appointed contractor.

Openreach had been paid in advance for the works, which fully covered the increase in costs.

The authority was not made aware of the cost increase until recently, explaining the historical nature of this notice; upon notification, thorough checks were undertaken to ensure the legitimacy of the charges.

The original reference for these works was STDC-PROC-0183.

The contract value was £40,505.44.
