Purchase of Two Land Trains for Kew Gardens Tours
Awarded 15 Oct 2020
About
Defra Network eTendering Portal awarded a contract to Severn Lamb for the purchase of two vehicles and carriages suitable to be run as a land train to deliver tours around the gardens.
The Kew Explorer land train service has been running tours around the Kew Gardens site for over 10 years, providing an information tour that showcases the horticultural, scientific and heritage highlights around the garden, as well as a valuable 'hop on hop off' service to visitors who would otherwise struggle to walk around the 320-acre site.
Outside of the public tours, there is also a significant need for tours to wedding parties and corporate partners.
The contract value is £446,290.
