Awarded 19 Aug 2019
About
MINISTRY OF DEFENCE awarded a contract to UNIVERSITY OF BATH (THE) for the provision of services to support the Randomised Controlled Trial of Military Hip Rehabilitation Outcome (MILO).
The project aimed to provide statistically robust data comparing residential rehabilitation versus conventional physiotherapy-led outpatient care for non-arthritic hip pain, to determine if cumulative mechanical loading of the hip constitutes an occupational risk for military personnel.
The scope included recruitment of a Research Assistant to support participant recruitment, screening, data collection, database maintenance, and subsequent data analyses, as well as scientific scrutiny of data collection, analysis, and interpretation methods by the Principal Investigator.
The contract value was £30,000.
