About

Foreign & Commonwealth Office awarded a contract to Ground Truth Consulting Limited for the provision of Rapid Deployment Team (RDT) training for the Crisis Management Department.

The contract, valued at AUD 369,308, covers a comprehensive training solution to enable the FCO to deploy staff at short notice into difficult operating environments worldwide.

The supplier assists with RDT recruitment by sitting on interview panels as an independent member and conducting telephone role-plays using actors and psychosocial support specialists, providing feedback and rating performance against FCO criteria.

The training includes at least 72 new team members per year, with 18 or more as Team leaders, delivered at least three times per year in classes of 24 participants.

Refresher training for existing RDT members is also considered, subject to FCO discretion and budgets.
