Provision of Independent Advocacy and Independent Visitor Services to Children and Young People in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
Awarded 01 Mar 2023
About
Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council awarded a contract to Coram Voice for the provision of an Independent Advocacy and Independent Visitor Service to children and young people.
The service aims to empower children and young people to ensure their views and wishes are heard and represented in decision-making processes about their lives, with the council's vision that all children and young people in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole feel listened to and empowered, have choice and control over their support, and have their rights upheld.
Independent Visitors provide children in care with a trusted adult to visit, advise and befriend them, as research indicates that a long-term, safe and trusted independent adult can make a significant difference to the wellbeing of a child in care.
The contract value is £700,000.
