About
Historic England Limited awarded a contract to Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service for the Heritage Buddies project, a 9-month pilot to test and trial training of existing volunteers in linking people in need to social prescribing through engagement with local heritage and the historic environment.
The project implemented the social prescribing 'buddies' model as part of the whole-community approach adopted by the National Academy for Social Prescribing (NASP), utilising existing local community, heritage, or other volunteering schemes to identify individuals who could benefit from heritage wellbeing activities and help them access these.
The contract value was AUD 13,000.
