About

London Borough of Sutton awarded a contract to Vodafone for the delivery of an Internet of Things (IoT) pilot programme aimed at detecting and reducing fly tipping across Sutton and Kingston.

The project, part of the South London Partnership's initiative funded by the Strategic Investment Pot (SIP) under the London Councils' Business Rates Retention scheme, will provide real-time insights into fly tipping hotspots and incidents to empower Council and Landlord Services Officers.

The pilot will test IoT detection solutions and refine technical details before potential rollout to other problem locations in Sutton, Kingston, and other SLP partner boroughs.

The contract value is AUD 187,000.
