About

Fenland District Council awarded a contract to Bloom Procurement Services Ltd for a comprehensive flood risk study and modelling to support the Wisbech 2020 Garden Town Initiative, which includes 10,000-12,000 new homes.

The study required innovative, evidence-based solutions using TRICO flood modelling or equivalent, next-generation computer modelling such as 3Di, and interactive mapping to assess tidal and fluvial flood risks linked to the Fens' pumped drainage systems and climate change.

The supplier was also responsible for developing flood-resilient housing concepts, ensuring compliance with NPPF and Environment Agency requirements, and managing stakeholder engagement, workshops, and reporting.

The contract value was AUD 164,535.
