About
East Ayrshire Council awarded a contract to the University of Strathclyde for energy system modelling to support the development of an Outline Business Case that meets HM Treasury's Green Book requirements.
The University of Strathclyde's Energy Systems Research Unit (ESRU) modelled the current energy system for the NERD region in the context of the wider energy grid and distribution network, and modelled future scenarios to identify options to unlock the potential of local energy generation.
The project partners included the Energy Technology Partnership, Scottish Power Energy Networks, and East Ayrshire Council.
The contract value was AUD 29,145.
