About

University Of Bedfordshire awarded a contract to DJ Russell Builders Ltd for emergency sewage pipe repair and pump station maintenance at Putteridge (11 Jaywood).

The work addressed a raw sewage leak at a private residence reported on 28 July, which required the sewage pump station to be taken offline the same day to prevent larger contamination, odour, and distress to an elderly occupant.

The scope included deploying a gulley sucker tanker lorry to empty the sewage pump station tank every other day to maintain operation of the Putteridge Campus (teaching, conferences, weddings, etc.), urgent pipe repairs, decontamination of the residence driveway, and reinstatement of the sewage pump station.

The contract value was £31,150.
