East Cowes Regeneration Transport Study by Savills

About

Isle of Wight Council awarded a contract to Savills for the East Cowes Regeneration Study - Transport Brief, valued at AUD 42,000.

The study assessed the appropriateness of committed Red Funnel Terminal Proposals and associated highway works in light of COVID changes, current movement patterns, and planned future development.

It identified further assessment work required for the wider masterplan, including future planning applications for the Albany Building, Maresfield Road car park, and Esplanade enhancements, and determined the most appropriate parking strategy for East Cowes.

Workstreams included traffic movement and highway network, parking strategy, traffic regulation order review, non-motorised user audit, review of planning applications, and stakeholder consultation.
