About

University of Derby awarded a contract to COG Design Limited for the development of a new website for Derby Theatre.

The project included a refreshed visual design that is vibrant, friendlier, warmer, accessible, and more welcoming; a responsive design adapting to mobile, desktop, and tablet devices; and a live, cross-functional design with fluid navigation.

The website aimed to drive sales and donations, deepen online loyalty, and re-establish organisational growth.

It sought to create a seamless user experience and customer journey from arrival to ticket booking and aftercare, reducing clicks and pages.

The project integrated the Learning Theatre brand and increased visibility of main work strands: University, work with young people, artist development, community co-creation projects, and the Theatre cafe.

It also required an adaptable, flexible, customisable CMS and enhanced digital functionality, including hosting paid online events (live-streamed and on-demand).

The contract value was £39,160.
