About

Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council awarded a contract to HAGS-SMP Ltd for the design, supply and installation of a children's play area at War Memorial Park in Basingstoke Town Centre, replacing the existing play facility.

The project aimed to upgrade and enhance the play area to provide exciting and current play facilities for pre-school (under 5) and junior age groups, meeting all current regulations and best practice.

The new play area was intended to be a destination facility appropriate for the park's Green Flag status and location within a historic park and Conservation Area, featuring safe, engaging and fun play zones with a wow factor and unique offer, aligned with the Council Plan commitment to provide great facilities for residents.

The contract value was £154,500.
