About

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council awarded a contract to Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd for the design and installation of hard and play works at High Nook Play Area.

The project involved installing new pathways and seating areas as per drawing H100/8-202 to provide an accessible and inclusive play area.

The play zones A-D were required to include equipment and appropriate surfacing and layout that conform to BS EN 1176 and BS EN 1177 and the 10 design principles described by Play England for successful play spaces, addressing considerations such as being designed for the site, well located, making use of natural elements, providing a wide range of play opportunities, being accessible to both disabled and non-disabled children, meeting community needs, being usable flexibly, and offering opportunities to experience risk and challenge.

The contract value was £43,427.
