Demonstration of Energy Efficiency Potential (DEEP) Whole House Retrofit Research
Awarded 21 Nov 2019
About
Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) awarded a contract to Passivhaus Trust, Loughborough University Enterprises Limited, University of Salford, Lucideon Limited, and Oxford Brookes University for the Demonstration of Energy Efficiency Potential (DEEP) project.
The project investigated a system-level 'whole house' approach to retrofit, considering the entire dwelling rather than individual measures, to evaluate the limitations, risks, and benefits of whole house retrofit.
Evidence was produced through a combination of measurement and modelling to inform BEIS's future retrofit strategy.
The contract value was AUD 2,670,000.
