About

South Of England Procurement Centre awarded a contract to University of Birmingham, University of Cambridge, University of Exeter, Imperial College London, University of Manchester, Queen Mary University of London, and St George's University of London for the delivery of a Master's Programme in Genomic Medicine for England.

The programme, developed by Health Education England (HEE) in collaboration with Genomics England and NHS England, aims to train healthcare professionals from various disciplines in genomics.

Since 2015, HEE has funded over 550 Master's places at Higher Education Institutes.

The new contract, valued at £4,000,000, is for an initial three years with a possible two-year extension, with the final cohort expected to complete by September 2023.

The budget is evenly distributed among the successful HEIs, subject to annual performance review.
