About

West Dorset District Council awarded a contract to Mace Group Ltd for cost consultant services during the detailed design and site construction phase of the refurbishment and fitout of Shire Hall, a Grade I listed building in Dorchester.

The project aimed to convert the building into a heritage attraction, interpreting its history including the Tolpuddle Martyrs Trial, and to relocate the Tourist Information Centre.

The cost consultant was to work with the council, the London Dorchester Committee Trust, and the design team to produce a full cost estimate covering RIBA Stages 3 and 4.

The contract value was AUD 23,800.
