Construction of Temporary Car Park at Former Ipswich Police Station Site
Awarded 24 Apr 2016
About
Ipswich Borough Council awarded a contract to Beardwell Construction Limited for the construction of a temporary car park and associated works at the Elm Street site of the former Ipswich Police Station.
The project included permeable tarmac surfacing, drainage works, entrance widening, perimeter treatment with concrete kerbs, fencing and timber hoarding, metal fencing, sundry brickwork repairs, car park and walkway lighting, and soft landscaping.
Due to archaeological sensitivity, the works were required to avoid breaking ground.
The contract value was £323,487.16.
