About

Worcester City Council awarded a contract to J Harpers & Sons (Leominster) Ltd for the construction of the Cinderella Cricket Pavilion structure and bringing services to it at Bransford Road, Worcester.

The project is part of a partnership with Heart of Worcestershire College and the England and Wales Cricket Board to re-open the historic Cinderella Cricket Ground.

The ground had been cleared of 25 years of undergrowth, and the cricket square and outfield were re-laid, with the boundary fence replaced.

Planning permission for the new pavilion was obtained.

The contract, valued at AUD 273,478, covers building the pavilion structure and service connections, with fit-out to be completed by Heart of Worcestershire College students.

The approach is traditional, with full construction drawings and design information provided to the contractor.
