Conservation Management Plan for Historic Vessels at Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre
Awarded 14 Apr 2019
About
North East Lincolnshire Council awarded a contract to Beckett Rankine for the development of a Conservation Management Plan for three historic vessels in its Museums Collection at the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre: the Ross Tiger, a 1950s trawler; the Esther, a fishing smack that sank in 2012; and the Perseverance, a 1914 shrimper.
All three vessels are on the National Register of Historic Vessels, with the Esther also part of the National Historic Fleet.
The plan will provide a framework for future repair and maintenance works, following recent survey work.
The contract value is AUD 35,000.
