Buckinghamshire Council awarded a contract to Mark Nicholson Fencing for the repair of the Black Park Lake outflow bank on the east side.

The work involved supplying and installing 6"x6" RSJ metal posts piled into the stream bed along the agreed stretch, replacing the full length of timber on that side.

Steel lengths varied based on wall height, with the end supporting most weight having steel 6ft in the ground.

Additionally, 100 oak sleepers (2.4m long, 200mm x 100mm) were placed between all RSJs and laid level.

Soil for back-filling was excavated from the unseeded car park bank, with the exact location to be agreed upon when quantity was known.

All rubbish, including old wood, was removed from site unless requested by the Country Park team.

Any spare oak sleepers from the 100 included in the quotation were stored at Black Park for future use.

The contract value was £8,100.
