Award of Urban Design Consultancy for Kenilworth Development Brief
Awarded 30 Sep 2018
About
Coventry - Solihull - Warwickshire awarded a contract to Land Use Consultants for urban design consultancy advice to support the preparation of a Development Brief for Kenilworth.
The commission involved a character appraisal of the town's existing character to identify prevailing characteristics defining local distinctiveness, including typology, street pattern, rhythm of streets, dwelling type, scale, architectural features, landscaping, fenestration, residential density, and materials.
It also required design principles for development within the Development Brief area and the preparation of site briefs/masterplans for two smaller allocations: H09 (Kenilworth School) and H12 (Kenilworth Sixth Form).
The contract value was AUD 35,000.
