About
Building Digital UK awarded a contract to CityFibre Limited for the build of gigabit-capable broadband infrastructure in the Norfolk region under the Gigabit Infrastructure Subsidy programme.
The contract, valued at £114,216,563, is part of a government initiative to subsidise the build of gigabit-capable networks in areas unlikely to attract commercial investment, known as the final 20% (f20).
The programme aims to provide long-term, sustainable availability of wholesale gigabit broadband services in the hardest to reach parts of the UK and may last for up to 9 years.
