About
G M C V O awarded a contract to Bolton CVS, Manchester Metropolitan University, Age UK Oldham, Age UK Tameside, and Age UK Wigan Borough for the local management of the Ambition for Ageing programme, a cross-sector partnership aimed at reducing social isolation among older people in Greater Manchester.
The programme, part of the Big Lottery's national Ageing Better initiative, operates in three neighbourhoods across eight local authority areas.
The Local Delivery Leads are responsible for engaging communities, supporting older people to make positive changes using a community development approach, and managing devolved budgets where older people decide on investments.
The procurement was split into eight lots, one per local authority area, with successful applicants limited to a maximum of two lots as lead provider.
The total contract value is AUD 3,340,000.
